Discover another side of Kenya
Join us July 28–31, 2027 as we trade the savannah for the sea on a relaxing Side Quest to Diani Beach, one of Africa's most beautiful beach destinations. After an unforgettable safari, we'll head to Kenya's tropical coastline for three nights of ocean views, warm Indian Ocean waters, and a slower pace of travel.

We'll spend our days snorkeling through the crystal-clear waters of Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, enjoying lunch overlooking the dramatic coastline, relaxing by the pool or beach, and soaking up everything that makes Diani Beach such a special place. Whether you choose to spend your afternoons with a book beneath a palm tree or exploring the coastline, this Side Quest is designed to be the perfect ending to an unforgettable trip.
Why Diani Beach?
After days spent searching for wildlife across Kenya's national parks, Diani Beach offers the perfect opportunity to slow down and unwind before heading home. With powder-soft white sand, warm turquoise waters, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere, it's an ideal way to experience another side of Kenya.

Unlike our safari days, this Side Quest is intentionally unhurried. We'll stay at one beautiful beachfront resort for the duration of the trip. We'll snorkel through the protected waters of Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, enjoy lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean, relax by the pool or beach, and simply soak in the slower pace of coastal life.

We recommend this experience for women who enjoy beautiful beaches and a few extra days to rest and recharge before returning home.

We'll experience Kenya's spectacular coastline while leaving plenty of time to relax, enjoy the beach, and embrace the slower pace that makes Side Quests so special.

Is this Side Quest for me?

Location & Accommodation
We'll spend three nights at Leopard Beach Resort & Spa, an award-winning beachfront resort overlooking the white sands of Diani Beach on Kenya's Indian Ocean coast.

By staying in one beautiful beachfront resort for the duration of the trip, you'll be able to settle in. Whether you're relaxing by the pool, enjoying the beach, dining with ocean views, or reading beneath the palm trees, you'll return to the same welcoming accommodations each evening before another day of enjoying Kenya's spectacular coastline.

Late July is a wonderful time to visit Kenya's coast. Expect warm, sunny days with temperatures typically ranging from 82–86°F (28–30°C) and pleasantly cooler evenings around 72–75°F (22–24°C).

The Indian Ocean is warm enough for swimming and snorkeling, while coastal breezes help keep the tropical climate comfortable throughout the day. Occasional brief showers are possible, but July is generally one of the drier months along Kenya's coastline.

Money & Spending
Kenya uses the Kenyan Shilling (KES). Credit cards are widely accepted at Leopard Beach Resort & Spa and many restaurants and shops around Diani Beach, but we recommend carrying a small amount of cash for tips, local vendors, and incidental purchases. ATMs are available in Diani Beach should you need additional local currency during your stay
Travel insurance is highly recommended for this retreat. It goes far beyond covering delayed flights or lost luggage. It can protect you in the event of unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies abroad, travel delays, or other disruptions outside of your control. With the current travel environment and how quickly plans can change, having coverage in place offers valuable peace of mind and helps ensure you’re not financially responsible for unforeseen circumstances that could impact your trip. Please note that Slow Travel Co. is not responsible or liable for any such disruptions, losses, or expenses incurred, and travel insurance is the best way to safeguard your investment.
