Empowering women to travel on their own terms

At Slow Travel Co., we’re a female-owned and operated small business helping women of all ages explore the world in a slower, more intentional way.

Our founder, Kayla Janachovsky, is a lifelong solo traveler who has visited all seven continents and more than 22 countries on her own. But even with years of experience navigating the globe solo, she’s just as passionate about group travel.

“I find so much more meaning and a sense of pride when I’m able to do it on my own. But I also believe in the magic of connection. No matter how independent or introverted we are, there’s something special about finding like-minded people to share the journey with.”

– Kayla

That’s the spirit of Slow Travel Co. Traveling solo, but never alone.

Why Group Travel?

Some of the most meaningful moments happen in unexpected conversations with fellow travelers:

“Oh, you’re a solo female traveler too? Where have you been?”
“What was the highlight of your trip?”
“Any advice for Morocco? Want to grab dinner later?”
“Want to go to Africa next month?”

When women connect through shared experience, adventure, and curiosity, the possibilities are endless. That’s what we’re here to create. A community of women supporting each other through travel.

The Slow Travel Co. Way

Our guiding principles shape everything we do:

Woman traveling in airport

Empower & support female travelers in their goal to see the world.

Women running into the ocean

Foster community so

women can travel solo, but never feel alone

Beach Umbrellas in Italy

Celebrate the joy of

slow travel (and reading,

of course!)

We believe every woman deserves the gift of travel, and we’re here to help make it happen.
