Eight days of slow sailing, turquoise water, historic island towns, and life aboard a private catamaran along Croatia's breathtaking Dalmatian Coast.
Join us August 21–28, 2027 for an unforgettable Slow Travel Retreat through Southern Dalmatia, Croatia, created in partnership with Nautica Collective. For eight days, we'll make a beautiful private catamaran our home as we sail from Dubrovnik through some of the Adriatic's most spectacular islands, seaside villages, national parks, and historic towns before returning to Dubrovnik.
This is slow travel in perhaps its most literal form. Our days will unfold with quiet mornings on deck, books in hand, swims in impossibly clear water, leisurely lunches, and afternoons wandering places that are difficult to experience quite the same way from land. We'll taste oysters and local wine in Mali Ston, wander Korčula's atmospheric Old Town, kayak and hike in Mljet National Park, and spend an entire day doing little more than swimming, snorkeling, reading, and relaxing in one of the region's most beautiful bays.
What to Expect
Throughout our sailing adventure, you'll be cared for with:
-
A boutique private catamaran with ensuite cabins, spacious outdoor decks, and stunning Adriatic scenery
-
A seamless experience in partnership with Nautica Collective, whose professional skipper, onboard host, and private chef will take care of every detail while we focus on slowing down and enjoying the journey.
-
All on-boat food and drinks are included. Any off-boat meals are not included.
-
Airport transfers to and from Dubrovnik International Airport (DBV)
-
Optional daily activities such as swimming and snorkeling off Lopud, visiting an oyster farm in Mali Ston, exploring Korčula and hiking or kayaking through Mljet
-
Small group size — just 8 women — so you can form meaningful connections
-
A welcoming retreat host to take care of all the details
Our flexible itinerary is designed to balance relaxation and adventure. You choose how much (or how little) you want to do.

What to Bring
Money & Spending
Croatia uses the Euro (€), and while credit cards are widely accepted in Dubrovnik and larger towns, we recommend carrying a small amount of cash for local cafés, markets, smaller businesses, and tips. There are ATMs available at Dubrovnik Airport and throughout the towns we'll visit if you'd prefer to withdraw Euros after you arrive. Since we'll be exploring a mix of historic coastal towns and smaller island communities throughout the week, having both a credit card and some cash will ensure you're prepared wherever we dock.
Group travel with Slow Travel Co. is all about ease and connection. Your Retreat Host will handle all logistics and coordination during the trip, so you can relax and focus on enjoying your experience. If you have questions or need help at any time, your host is just a message away!
Traveling as Part of a Group
Meal Plan & Dietary Restrictions
Each day begins with breakfast prepared by our onboard private chef, with most lunches and dinners also enjoyed aboard the yacht throughout the week. When we're ashore exploring Croatia's charming coastal towns and islands, some lunches will be at local restaurants and are not included, giving you the opportunity to experience the local cuisine at your own pace. If you have dietary restrictions, follow a vegan or gluten-free diet, or have severe allergies, please notify us at reservations@slowtravelco.com at least 30 days before departure so we can accommodate you.
To ensure a comfortable stay, please be considerate of your roommate regarding cleanliness and noise. Earplugs and eye masks will be provided. Travelers who use a CPAP machine or are aware of snoring may want to consider a single room upgrade.

Safety
While we take every precaution to ensure safe activities and excursions, please remember your own responsibility for personal safety. Avoid going out alone at night and follow all safety recommendations.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests. While we carefully plan each retreat, travel can be unpredictable, and insurance can help protect you in the event of trip cancellations, delays, lost luggage, medical emergencies, weather disruptions, or other unforeseen circumstances. Slow Travel Co. is not responsible for costs associated with travel interruptions or emergencies, so purchasing travel insurance can provide valuable peace of mind before and during your trip.

Medical & Health Requirements
All travelers must have valid medical insurance
before departure.
Late August is peak summer along Croatia's southern Dalmatian Coast, which typically means hot, sunny days, warm Adriatic water, and balmy evenings.
Because we'll be spending much of the week on the water, expect plenty of sun and sea breeze throughout the day. Conditions can naturally change while sailing, and our exact route or timing may be adjusted when necessary based on weather, sea conditions, or the judgment of our professional crew.
